| Business Development Manager – Local Government (National) The Position All business needs new sales to be successful. Our product is unique, however it’s a complex and sophisticated service solution that needs to be explained simply. Clients see huge benefits once it is implemented and if they use it exclusively. They don’t see benefits if they do not commit to a proper implementation or allow managers to buy outside of the process. You need to be someone who can articulate complex solutions simply. You need to quickly gauge your audience and amend your style to suit, you need to engage potential clients with gravitas, with rigour and with absolute clarity. If you can do this then you will move reticent and cynical prospects into receptive and enthusiastic buyers. The product will deliver massive benefit to clients and it will become the go to platform for services procurement, but only if helped on its way by the right people. This is a “big ticket” sale and will involve a lengthy consultative sales process with senior public sector staff. You will know if you can and what it takes to do this.
