MATRIX SCM is offering healthcare commissioners grappling with the Government’s four per cent efficiency targets, a moneysupermarket.com-style solution.
Its on-line procurement technology, SProc.Net, offers healthcare commissioners the ability to compare healthcare services and prices being offered for those services.
The procurement technology acts like a window to the care services marketplace. Buyers from the soon-to-be-formed Commissioning Support Services and from Acute Trusts and PCTs would enter their care service requirements onto SProc.Net and then suppliers who have been vetted and pre-registered by Matrix SCM are automatically alerted of the buyers’ requirements.
It’s then up to the suppliers to bid to meet the requirement and win the contract by offering their best price.
SProc.Net, specifically geared to helping care services commissioners in Acute Trusts and PCTs, is making average annual savings for its 60+ public sector clients of between 10 and 12 per cent.
James Whitney, Matrix SCM’s Business Development Manager for the Health Sector commented: “Our procurement solution and technology automates the whole process of engaging care services from start to end. It drives down the cost while improving quality.”
